Three Triangular Shaped UFOs Seen From The Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton California

Date: Early 1990’s
Time: Evening.

While stationed on Camp Pendleton for TAD in the early nineties for reactive armor upgrades for the AAV there, I saw something similar. I was working second shift. We were doing two twelve hour shifts to get all the mods done. During my break I walked out to the bay behind the ramp where all the vehicles were kept and I was looking at the water.

I thought I saw three triangular shaped objects in the water. There was no noise. Then I realized that what I was seeing was a reflection of something in the air. I looked up to see three smooth black triangles floating by at a constant speed in a triangular formation.

There was no light or sound and the only reason I could see them was because there was a bright moon and the reflection of the moonlight off the calm water refracted off of the bottom of the objects which were no more than 500 feet off the ground.

They were each about thirty feet from corner to corner and completely smooth as far as I could tell. I have only told this story to a few select friends because I'm still not sure what to make of it myself.

If you have seen anything like this in the same area please be kind enough to contact Brian Vike at: sighting@telus.net with the details of your sighting. All personal information is kept confidential.

Ex Military Man Observes Bright Orange Red Ball Over Loring Air Force Base

Date: Fall of 1965.

I was assigned to the 42nd Combat Defense Squadron at Loring from 1964-1966. I had a similar experience while securing a B-52 download in the fall of 1965. In this case, a very bright orange-red "ball" overflew my remote hardstand, and the flight line, in a perfect zig-zag pattern.

It seemed to be very large, and at an altitude of about 1000 feet. I watched it until it disappeared over the horizon. Later I mentioned it to one of the flight NCOs, but I never heard anything about the incident.

However, many years later, in 1979, I was working in San Francisco. The Chronicle had a feature called, " The Question Man". The interviewer would question random people on the street. The question one day was, "have you ever seen a UFO?" One person responded, " yes, when I was at Loring AFB in the mid '60s.... He went on to describe exactly what I saw. I tried to contact him, without success.

I don't tell this story to just anyone, but I thought you might be interested. Sincerely.

If you have seen anything like this in the same area please be kind enough to contact Brian Vike at: sighting@telus.net with the details of your sighting. All personal information is kept confidential.

Military Guard With Canine Observe UFO Over The Canon AFB Clovis Mexico (Jets Scrambled)

Date: 1970’s
Time: Approx: 3:00 a.m.

A Vike Factor Note: Over the years I have received a number of excellent UFO sighting reports that have taken place over the Canon AFB Clovis Mexico. I have been working on these reports and hoping others who served at the AFB would contact me if they have any knowledge of UFO sightings over the base. Please remember, your personal information is kept private. Thank you, Brian.

Hi Brian, saw your website. My name is (name removed) AFB, Canon AFB Clovis Mexico. I would like to tell you of my encounter with a UFO, My Serial # was (removed), which you can check from record book on the apswho. I was walking the tarmac guarding F-100 Sabre Jets. Let me explain at this time my encounter, it was about 3:00am I was walking with my canine, a shepherd called Olex, when I looked into the night sky and saw a bright dot. The object I saw was moving radically left to right up and down and this is something I've never seen before.

I kept staring at it and couldn't believe what I saw. The object moved so radically that I called base command. Base command sent four Sabre Jets for what I explained to them. As the jets took off, I saw the object moving faster and more radically. When the jets came back the crews of the Jets shook their heads and said we couldn't get it.

One captain told me they saw it and it was gone in a flash still shaking their heads. So I guess Brian, there are really UFO's? I just wanted to tell you this because I know in the real world we don’t identify other sources of life, but this was an encounter that I have to tell you before my days our ended. Thank you for what your doing and maybe people will look more at night into the sky and see the real happening. Thank you.

If you have seen anything like this in the same area please be kind enough to contact Brian Vike at: sighting@telus.net with the details of your sighting. All personal information is kept confidential.

Military Serviceman Films UFO Over Camp Pendleton (Pictures)

Date: August 19, 2010
Time: Approx: 8:30 p.m.

Here is the picture that I took from my iPhone. There were several witnesses in my base housing area that saw it. At first there were 3 lights forming a triangle. Then one of the lights (the one in the bottom right corner disappeared. I was able to snap this photo before it finally disappeared entirely. It happened on August 19, 2010 at approximately 8:30pm.

After the sighting I called PMO and the Sgt on duty said that they've received numerous phone calls about the strange lights and that it was the Game Warden using a spotlight. Included is the original photo and I went on my iMac and zoomed in and tried to change the exposure to see the object better. Not sure if you guys can professionally clean up and zoom in on the photo, but you can see an outline of a triangular craft.

If you have any other questions regarding the UFO sighting please feel free to contact me via email or call my cell phone at (number removed). Please update me on any information you guys might have.

If you have seen anything like this in the same area please be kind enough to contact Brian Vike at: sighting@telus.net with the details of your sighting. All personal information is kept confidential.

UFO - Airman Assigned To The 27th Tactical Air Command At Cannon AFB

The Vike Factor Note: The report below is new one to a growing list of incidents that took place at the Cannon AFB, in NM. With so many servicemen who have filed reports of unknown objects over the base, it certainly has become clear that the Cannon AFB was a location for many UFO sightings. I would like to ask if any other folks have information about the UFO incidents that took place at the Cannon AFB, would you please contact Brian Vike at: v_factor_paranormal@live.com Thank you and please note that your privacy is respected. Also there is going to be a audio interview added to this report shortly.

Brian, Per our phone conversation, this is the "sanitized" and completed events of June, 1975 at Cannon AFB, NM:

Let me go ahead and lay my experience out for you.

I was an Airman, assigned to the 27th Tactical Air Command at Cannon AFB and I worked the swing shift on the flight line. It was a Friday night and as usual, I checked the ops board for sorties. F111-Ds had a nasty habit of landing broke more often than not and on Friday nights, that meant swing shift stayed late to fix any "red x" entries in the A/C maintenance log. I was relieved to note that nothing was scheduled and so I only needed to finish my shift and start the weekend.

At around 10:00pm, I heard the afterburners of F111s taking off. Thinking they could be from another base, I ran outside to see. Our base identifier, "CC", was on the vertical stabilizers of the two F111-Ds that were taking off in combat formation - two staggered abreast and simultaneous. I had never seen our birds take off like that - it was simply not done.

I approached our dispatcher and told him we had just launched two. We were both upset because we weren't supposed to have any training sorties that night and nobody wanted to stay late on a Friday. He called Ops and they told him it was a hot scramble after bogeys over the base that the radar shack was tracking. I found out later that MMS (Munitions Maintenance Squadron) loaded the F111's with live air-to-air ordinance. I also heard that it wasn't the first scramble during this time frame, but I personally was not witness to any others.

The dispatcher happened to be friends with the radar operator on duty, so we called the radar shack and put him up on the external speaker. The (veteran) radar operator was totally flummoxed. He was tracking "two or three" bogeys making impossible aerial maneuvers at impossible speeds - at least 3,000 MPH - disappearing and re-appearing. He checked and double-checked his gear and it was fine - no malfunction (he was tracking our F111's fine). I jotted down the phone number to the radar shack and stuck it in my fatigue shirt pocket.

The two A/C landed about 45 minutes later, no ordinance expended and they were in good order - no late night work for me. I heard later that the pilots were not debriefed in the normal manner. I left the shop for the Airman's Club, socialized over a pitcher of beer and played some foosball. I made it back to the barracks at about 2:00AM. Seeing the phone on the CQ's desk, I decided to call the radar site - it was a small portable building out in the middle of a field. I was curious and wanted an update on the bogey situation.

The phone at the other end was answered by a "Capt. Kowalski". (A captain in the radar shack at 2:00am on a Saturday morning??? no way! was what I thought.) I asked for the radar operator by name and the Capt.. stated that he was not there. His voice was loud and threatening. As a young airman, I was truly frightened by his aggressiveness and almost hung up.

To cut to the chase, Capt. K. interrogated me for some time about who I was, why I was calling and so forth. During that time, a few things became clear to me:

1. He was definitely not USAF. He used terms such as "serial number" and "CO" which were common to other branches of the armed forces, but not used by USAF personnel. Whoever he was and whomever he worked for, his cover was blown.

2. He may not have even been military. He swore - no curse words excepted - with every sentence, lost his temper constantly, or appeared to for effect, and sounded more like a street thug than an "officer and a gentleman". To use a military phrase, he had no "military bearing". Having been raised in a military family, military bearing is not something one comes by naturally, nor is it easily relinquished.

3. I probably should never have called for that update!

Capt. K told me the incident never happened. When I refuted him, by saying I had watched the aircraft scramble and spoke with the radar operator, he stated that I was either insane or on drugs. His voice was constantly at a yelling volume and his demeanor, highly intimidating. He stated that "we can do things to you that make Leavenworth (max-security federal penitentiary) look like a picnic". Capt. K. told me they would be watching me and that I was never to mention this "non-event" to anyone. He also stated, "it's a big desert out there - people get lost all the time". I got the point.

In the ensuing days, I attempted to locate this Capt. Kowalski, entertaining the notion of bringing him up on charges of "behavior unbecoming an officer". He simply did not exist anywhere on base. I contacted the Communications Squadron who runs the radar shack to see if they know who this Capt.. was. I was surprised when I discovered that the radar operator had suddenly gotten orders to a "classified location".... nobody knew where he went and none of his friends knew about any pending orders. Imho, he was conveniently disappeared.

I have provided the details of this event to The Disclosure Project. They in turn asked if I would be willing to travel to Washington D.C. and testify before Congress to that effect. My answer to them was and still is, "affirmative".

Artillery Takes Out Landed UFO At Da Nang, RVN - Happy Valley In 1966

Date: Between February and July of 1966
Time: 2:00 - 4:00 a.m.

Location of Sighting: Da Nang, RVN - Happy Valley.
Number of witnesses: Unknown.
Number of Objects: Believed to be 1
Shape of Objects: Unknown.

Brian Vike's, The Vike Factor Note: If anyone else who served at this time and in this area and have any information about this event, please do contact Brian Vike, The Vike Factor at v_factor_paranormal@live.com with a detailed report. Thank you.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: Radar track from Danang, and Aerial observer. Taken out by Artillery fire. More info if you are interested. Did not get any TDA following the counter fire.

Additional Information:

Hi Brian,

I am guessing you are in British Columbia, or the Pacific Northwest. Quite a bit out of my normal travel area. Anyway, it is still good to hear from you and to learn of your organization.

I was in the US Marine Corps, and served in the SE Asia area during 1964, 1965, 1966, 1968, and 1969. It was during my 1965-66 tour that we were located to the northeast of Da Nang, and I was in an Artillery Fire Direction Center (FDC). We controlled close to 100 Field Artillery pieces in the Da Nang area, and could bring about 500 rounds onto one football field sized spot in about 3 minutes.

I have had some injuries from auto crashes since then and do not remember just when the incident occurred, but it was between February and July of 1966. I was on the late night shift and we got a call from the air base that a UFO had come in and landed at a set of coordinates generated by the GCA Radar. These plotted out in an area that we referred to as "Happy Valley." The IFF response had been un heeded and the radar and visual tracking from an airborne craft in the area did not match any known aircraft. Since we were close to the DMZ, no one wanted to take any chances and we were given clearance to fire all available artillery on it. We had about 70+ pieces that could range the target so we plotted a time on target mission and fired 6 rounds per piece on the target.

The GCA radar kept watch on the area and the observer stayed a safe distance out of the lines of fire. We got the usual artillery bursts and at the end of the barrage there was a huge flash that registered on the GCA radar. The air observer reported that nothing had left the area, and it was too dark to look for damage until sunup. We filed the fire mission request and record of fire with the other log sheets and had been advised that a ground crew was going in for TDA at first light. When we came on shift 2 days later we looked for the record of fire sheet to see what the ground crew had found.

We were amazed to find that the entire set of records for that mission had vanished. No one would admit to being told to pull it and we never did find out what we had hit other than the initial comments that had come back to us while we were firing on the target. I still have no clue what we shot. It was big and got a lot of people excited. No other sightings were reported in our area that I heard about before I left in August of 1966. This has always been a puzzling experience, wandering around in the back of my mind. I have often wondered if we had in deed taken out an extraterrestrial space craft, and how badly we had irritated whom ever it belonged to.

Sorry I don't have more or better descriptive information on the craft or the post attack findings.

Thank you for giving me the opportunity to tell this story. I would be interested in hearing about any thing that may have been found out about this incident as it has been bothering me for over 40 years now.

Thanks, and best wishes to you.

Additional Information:

Maybe there is more there than I realize, but I think your interview would be quite short. My involvement in this was minimal, albeit that I was an excellent FDC data computer and chart operator -- took out a 3ft. wide suspension bridge with 2 shots once at 14,000 yards with an aerial observer, Australian Chap, and a darn, fine one at that! Never did get to meet the fellow, just a voice on the radio.

I would appreciate hearing about any other information that may surface on this one. I think I still keep one eye out over the brush any time I go out. Had to have really irritated someone!

Back about 1983 in December, I was flying back to St. Louis, from Phoenix, for a week of training, and we were routed through the Denver airport. We
were in the four corners area (AZ, UT, NM, CO) and I was looking out the window, Rt. side, a couple of rows behind the wing, -- always like to see where I am going and what is on the ground, if possible -- We were at about 34,000 ft, and there was some cloud cover at about 25,000 - 28,000 ft. I was watching the terrain transition as we came out of the NE Arizona barren landscape, and suddenly became aware of a large dome-shaped object at about 29-30,000 ft. It appeared to be shaped similar to a State capitol building, except it had a lot of antenna arrays on it. The bottom that I could see, appeared to be flat. It was hovering for about 20 seconds and then it descended slowly into a cloud bank. I did not see any flashing lights, or moving parts. It was a dull silver-gray color. It was just a surprising.

The antenna arrays were the most surprising thing to me about the surface of the object. I felt no rush of excitement or panic, just marveled at the size and appearance. I was looking at the object at about a 10 degree down angle and estimated that it was about 1 - 1 1/2 miles away. I would guess that it was about 75 ft. wide and about 45 - 50 ft. high. I was wide awake and I don't drink or use mind altering drugs -- legal or illegal. I have never seen another unidentified object in the air. This was really a strange experience.

Anyway, that is the extent of my UFO mystery experiences. Best wishes to you and your group. Maybe one of these days we will get it all sorted out!
Best wishes to you.

My many thanks to this gentleman for sending in this amazing report.

Military Man Observes UFO At Phuoc Vinh, Vietnam

Posted: March 28, 2009

Date: 1969
Time: 21:00 hrs - 23:00 hrs

Location of Sighting: Phuoc Vinh, Vietnam.
Number of witnesses: Just me, as far as I know.
Number of Objects: 1
Shape of Objects: Couldn't be sure, far away.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: I was pulling Green-line duty with 3 other 1st Cav. soldiers who were sleeping. I had a star light scope, a radio and all the stuff you would expect in/on a bunker. This bunker was a big well fortified bunker. We were all on top of this bunker from my best recollection. I was pulling my stint, let the others sleep. This bunker was on the western facing perimeter. This night was a beautiful night with no overcast. Many small brilliant stars were in the night sky. No moon, as far as I remember especially facing out west. The starlight scope was working very well. I'm going into a little detail to set the stage leading up to my sighting. I know it's not to the point Please bear with me.

As I was scanning the western night sky. and all of a sudden something to the Northwest caught my eye. It was a very brilliant whitish, silver and with a hint of blue more of a rounded shape. It was fairly far away. The main thing about this object was it would move to my left, or South in jerky movements , hover, do it again and again. It never lost the same brilliance or colors the entire time. Additionally it left a amber or reddish trail (like a tracer) as it moved only to suddenly stop on a dime. I watched this thing for several minutes.

By this time it was in the Southern Horizon. Then, all of a sudden it shot up skyward on a 45 degree angle towards the North. It was totally out of sight in seconds. I was thinking should I report this? I decided not. I would wait to see if anyone else would, then I would to. I didn't have the presence of mine to wake the other guys. Mainly, I couldn't believe what I was seeing. I have reported this to Mufon about 1-2 years ago. I keep my eyes skyward quite a bit now. I've had 2 other sightings. One, in Poerta Vallarta Mexico. last year 2008.

It was a fast mover across Banderos Bay 20-30 miles in only several seconds. It was very dim,in a very dark night sky. The other was a very unusual huge transparent round ball shaped thing. It had either port holes or crater like figures within it. We were driving North in Lockport, Illinois when I looked up about 60 degrees high in the sky. It was moving pretty fast, Maybe a thousand MPH. It was in the clouds, but I could easily make out the outline of this, whatever it was. That about sums up stuff I've seen. There is no doubt in my mine about my 1969 R.V.N. sighting. That, was not from this world. I hope this helps.

Thank you to the witness for their sighting report.

Canadian Outrage At Fox News - Red Eye's Greg Gutfeld On Canadian Military (Idiot)

Posted: March 24, 2009

The spectacularly stupid and offensive Fox News show Red Eye with host Greg Gutfeld came out with what I can only call an idiotic statement on his program. It is a stupid thing to say anytime, but with four of Canada's fallen heroes coming home now, it is a slap in the face to the Canadian troops, their families and the rest of the people of Canada. I don't know how people like Greg Gutfeld finds this a funny topic to bring to his show. He should have more respect for Canada's military and their families and our country in general. I am appalled !

Yuma, Arizona, Marine Corps Air Station Yuma, Rifle Range Landing Pad Imprints

Posted: March 16, 2009

Date: March, Wednesday 1984
Time: 6:00 a.m.

Number of witnesses: 5
Number of objects: 3
Shape of objects: 3 Hexagonal shaped landing pad imprints in sand about 3-4 feet in diameter with small hexagon shapes filling inside of larger hexagon. Each pad was about 3 feet wide and the three formed a triangle. Each pad was about 8-10 feet apart.
Weather Conditions: clear, sun just coming up, no wind, no clouds.

Description: Four Marines and myself observed 3 Hexagonal shaped landing pad imprints in sand about 3-4 feet in diameter with small hexagon shapes filling inside of larger hexagon (looked like a honeycomb) just over the side barriers of the rifle range. There was no craft, but the imprints formed a perfect triangle and were about 3 inches deep. The circumference of the three pad impressions was about 8-10 feet from each other and in the middle was some small
charred remains, which I picked up (pebble size, black and rocky) then put back down. No foot prints or residual blast area was obvious. Whatever landed and took off, did so with no blast effect.

Otherwise the site would have been obliterated. I know of no propulsion system we have that can land and take off without a blast from engines. We were soon told by Sergeant to get away from there. Soon afterwards, the Naval Investigative Service (NIS) showed up and took Polaroid photos.

TV/Radio: Never reported by NIS.

Thank you to UFOINFO for this report. http://www.ufoinfo.com/

Adak Island Military Man With Top Secret Clearance Spots UFO

Posted: February 10, 2009

Date: 1972/73
Time: N/A

I was stationed on Adak and have a UFO story for you if interested. Let me know.

Additional Information:

Okay let me get my papers together. I kept my Navy papers and I can prove I was stationed there. I was a radioman with a top secret clearance. I was stationed at the navfac unit with ocean system technicians, it either late Fall or early Spring maybe as late as May of 73. We knew the guys that operated the large microwave dish antennas and they told us we would be able to see our astronauts going by in orbit if the sky was clear.

We went out that night, spotted our astronauts in orbit. We waited for it to come around again and when it did an object, just pinpoint of light about as large as our capsule came shooting in at a high rate of speed and kind of zig zagged around the astronauts and making right angle maneuvers then shot back out and was gone. This all took about 5 seconds. My friend and I both looked at each other and said, did you see that? We both knew we could not talk about it because of our clearances. I don't remember if this was the last Apollo mission or was it one of the unmanned Skylab missions. Any questions, please feel free to ask.

Thank you to the witness for the sighting report.

UFO Over Loring AFB Has Serviceman Debriefed Over Incident

Posted: November 3, 2008

HBCC UFO Research Note: I have removed names in this report as not to identify the folks who are talked about in the below report. I have replaced the real names with a fictitious ones. The folks could not be reached to seek permission to post their names. Also Brian Vike Director of HBCC UFO Research would love to hear from any serviceman or Loring AFB personal/families who have knowledge about the sighting. I can be reached at: hbccufo@telus.net or through my website at: http://www.hbccufo.org

Hi, Hope this finds you well. Sorry it has taken so long to get back to you, it is Football season and my son plays for (removed) so my wife and I "tramp around the northeast" this time of year!

Well a little background. My dad was Chief of the FAA office in Presque Isle. All the guys there were electronic techs and were responsible for navigational aids and some other equipment such as teletype machines at NOAA and Loring AFB. The nav-aids included the Presque Isle instrument landing system, PQI VOR and TACAN which were (and still are ) located in the middle of a potato field in Washburn, Me. This VOR equipment is considered one of the most important nav-aids in the States because it is the first or last an aircraft uses. Loring aircraft and any other military aircraft use the TACAN and it too is the first or last site in the USA. Ok now the boring is out!

I had a good friend from Boy Scouts whose father was the structures fire chief at Loring. They lived outside of PQI near Quoggy Joe State Park. Our families did a lot together outside of scouts, snowmobiling, camping, and family get together. That October, our troop had a Court of Honor which included a Pot Luck dinner. Rick's father Dale, didn't show up and his mom was very worried. That next weekend the Riley's were over and Dale told us about the sighting.

Seems that calls came in from some of the families on the base. They also saw the lights moving around the base. The base sent out an engine after the first calls came in from the base housing area claiming that lights were seen threw the trees as well as in the air. Dale said that, and I can't remember who, one of the higher ranking officers requested the engine to check out the housing area, and he assumed that it was because of a possible light plane or helicopter crash. After cruising the housing area they saw the lights towards the flight line and they headed in that direction. After reaching the gate to the flight line Dale said that they could see a red light over the area where the Nuclear storage site was located. The light stayed there for a time while the radios were going "nuts". After a short time (minutes) the light flew off only to return again before disappearing.

The Pentagon closed the base down, not letting anyone on or off, and cut off all non approved communications. In fact, before Dale got home, Rick called me and told us that they were afraid the war was "just around the corner", remember that Loring was a "Dew line" base or first strike .

Dale was allowed off base the next day, late in the afternoon after being debriefed by Air Force personnel. He was not on base the second night, but of course found out about it when he returned later in the week. A few days after this happened he was ordered to report for another debriefing. This time they were "suits". His words not mine. I didn't learn about the "men in black" until years later.

Now Dale retired and moved to Alaska, where they transferred from. Rick is now a minister somewhere in the middle America area, I've lost track of him while in the service.

What I find interesting is that the year before there was another series of sightings in the area. I have come to understand that Loring was visited then too, this from Dale. In December of 74, my next door neighbor and I were out snow sledding one night and observed a strange light passing over the town.

Loring Air Force Base - I Am Looking For Servicemen Stationed In 1975

Posted: October 28, 2008

HBCC UFO Research Request: I am searching out servicemen who were stationed at the Loring Air Force Base in the year 1975. There was a mysterious incident that took place at the Loring AFB back in 1975 and I am hoping that some of the folks who were stationed at the base might come forward with any details they might have over a possible UFO sighting. What the object was, well this is certainly unknown at this point, but I sure would like people's input who served at the base in 1975 over what took place there. Also if anyone's Father or Mother and possibly a relative/friend who served at the base in 1975 and who may have heard what went on I sure would like to hear from you. I am also sure that there are folks who were not stationed at the AFB but may have some details as to what went on.

Please note, I will keep your personal information private, this would be between you and myself. But it has become very important to find others who would have some knowledge as to what was seen and what took place at the base in 1975.

You can write to me directly at hbccufo@telus.net or you are welcome to go directly to my website and file the details through the site as there are links on the front page at the left hand side of the page. There would be "Report A UFO" or "Feedback". Again I would like to mentioned that I would be the only person receiving any information that might come in to HBCC UFO Research. Thank you, Brian Vike - Director of HBCC UFO Research. (http://www.hbccufo.org) or (http://www.brianvike.com)

UFO - Snipers, Helicopter Gunships And Jet Fighters Loring AFB

Date: 1975

Full Description of event/sighting: I was stationed at Loring AFB during the UFO sightings. This is the first time I have seen something in writing about the incident. Thanks for all you do.

Hello Brian, I was a medic working at the hospital while all this was going on.

I had a fellow airman I knew that told me about how his radar screen went crazy and how the tracking was really weird and impossible to be done with our current aircraft.

A military police airman that I also knew told me about how he violently shook because while he was at his nuclear post a stationary bright light from above was shining on him.

All he heard was "nothing". Another military police airman told me that he was being stationed along with some others as snipers around the base.

I personally saw helicopter gunships and fighter aircraft during this time. Both of these type aircraft were not present before. Hope this is helpful. Thanks for all you do.

Thank you to the person for this valuable information.

If anyone has witnessed the lights/objects, please send me an email with details of what you saw. Please remember to include the date and time and location. (Town/City – State or Province) and as much detail as possible.

Vike Factor Note: I do receive sighting reports from everywhere in the world, and I post all of the reports I receive here: http://the-v-factor-paranormal.blogspot.com/

Lowry AFB A Large Black Disk UFO Ringed In White Lights

Posted: September 11, 2008

Date: 1979
Time: Evening.

Brian, Thanks for your reply. I was hoping you would. I read about your sighting, and it was interesting. I'll be happy to tell you my experience.

In 1979, I was 17, and had signed up to serve in the U.S. Air Force. I went through boot camp at Lackland AFB, TX., August of that year, shortly after graduating high school in Connecticut.

After basic training, I was stationed at Lowry for technical training, to be trained to be an instrumentation mechanic, probably in September. I don't recall how long the school was, but I remember it was one of the longer programs, and may have been 16 weeks long, putting me there into the winter.

I had a few buddies there. I recall one of their names to be a (full name removed), who was with me that night. I don't recall the other fellows name.

Sadly, I didn't document the events better than this, it's just my recollection. I had turned 18 in October. This all occurs while we were on Lowry AFB.

One night, I believe in December, because there had to be 8 to 12 inches of snow on the ground, we decided to go off base to a small pub. We didn't have a car, so it was decided that although the pub was off base, and there was no gate near it, that we'd climb a fence, to save time walking all the way around the perimeter of the base. We still needed to walk quite a way from the dorm to the point in the fence we needed to climb.

So it was night, maybe 9:00 pm. I recall a moonlit, cloudless, fairly warm, despite the snow, night. We walked in the direction of the pub, walking through the main street the dorm was located, of the base. When we got away from the main buildings, and away from street and building lights, it was quiet. So, we're walking, and at some point we had to leave the plowed road, and had to cross a snow covered field there.

This is when I look up and I see the strangest thing. I see what appears to be a large black disk, ringed in white lights that revolve around the perimeter of it. I recall how it made me think of lights that revolve around Las Vegas casino marquees. Otherwise it was pitch black, and you could only see the absence of the moonlight where it was. I thought the lights on it comical, instead of otherworldly. But this thing was big. I'd say it was no more than 200 feet up. About 60 - 70 yards diameter. It was dead silent. It didn't even create the sound that winds make going around buildings. It moved slowly maybe 1 to 2 miles per hour, perpendicular to our course, perfectly straight, not drifting in wind, behind us from left to right.

I think I alerted my friends, (name removed) and the other guy, and asked what that could be. They agreed it was something very unusual, and we decided to change course and follow it. Now, we are walking in snow, which doesn't let you move all that fast to begin with, but we're able to keep up with it for maybe 5 to 10 minutes, where we reach some fence. As we stop, the thing just keeps going. Whatever it was, it didn't notice us. We stand and watch as it move, until it was too far to see. No change in course or speed.

We proceeded to the pub, enjoyed ourselves, and hardly spoke of it. I don't recall us really ever talking about it since.

Shortly after, my friends had moved on to their next assignments, as their schools had ended and I continued my school. I lost track of them and don't know if they are alive or not, let alone where they are. The one I forgot was from Foxboro MA, and he was Polish. I would like to meet them again to discuss that night. If I knew how to look up guys at an AFB on a certain date, I would.

Well that's it, not as dramatic as a broad daylight encounter like yours I think.

Thank you to the witness for a fascinating sighting report.

RAF Akrotiri, Cyprus An Enormous UFO Shaped Like The Giant Cross Of Lorraine

Posted: August 14, 2008

Date: May 1974
Time: Evening.

Location of Sighting: RAF Akrotiri, Cyprus.
Number of witnesses: 2
Number of objects: 1
Shape of objects: Cross of Lorraine.

Full Description of event/sighting: Cyprus UFO Report

It was in the evening of a day in late May 1974 although I cannot be sure of the exact date. I was a Squadron Leader at the RAF station at Akrotiri in Cyprus.

I was standing with my friend and fellow officer, Flight Lieutenant (name removed), in the garden of my married quarter on base and we were discussing the plans for an RAF Akrotiri mountaineering expedition to Iran. It was a moonlit night with a clear sky and no clouds.

As we were speaking a rather strange looking craft appeared in the dark sky to the East. It was heading towards us and appeared to have a very large wing span. It was moving at about the same cruising speed as a modern passenger aircraft.

As it came nearer we could see that it was unlike any aircraft we had ever seen. It became clear that it was in the shape of a giant cross of Lorraine and flying in the direction of the top of the cross. It is difficult to estimate its altitude with no reference points but my estimation is at least 10,000 feet.

In size it was enormous and probably at least ten times bigger than any aircraft in service at that time. The fuselage appeared a grey-black colour in the moonlight and there were no lights showing. It appeared to be constructed from a long thin fuselage and two cross members of similar width towards the forward end of the fuselage - hence the two-barred cross of Lorraine shape. The forward cross member was shorter than the rear cross member. The majority of the fuselage length was to the rear of the rear cross member.

The craft was generating no noise and certainly no jet engine noise but from each end of the rear cross member a long plume of blue and yellow flame was emitted. The plumes were nearly as long as the rest of the fuselage. The plumes could imply the craft was in the atmosphere and burning some form of fuel.

The craft was travelling in an East to West direction parallel with the Southern coast of Cyprus. However, since Akrotiri is a narrow peninsula most of its track would have been over the sea.

We watched it overfly us with amazement and then saw it accelerate at enormous speed and disappear from view.

Our immediate action was to dash inside my married quarter and call Air Traffic Control at the base but they had not seen it and had no trace on their radar. The following day I could not find anyone else who had witnessed this strange sight.

Our first reaction was not that we had seen a UFO! But this was during the time of the Cold War and in those days we had no Internet to research the spacecraft that had been built. We assumed the craft was a space station built by the Americans or the Russians and that it was probably burning up after re-entering the Earth's atmosphere. Certainly it looked like a space station and could have been a mother ship.

However, over the course of time it was evident from further investigation that there were no spacecraft of comparable size and structure around in 1974. Indeed it was much larger than all space stations which have been in orbit since then.

So the deduction is that what we saw was a UFO and I now wish to record our observation for posterity. However, as a personal opinion, I do not feel that this was a UFO manned by extra-terrestrial beings. Rather I take the view that what we saw in 1974 was a snapshot of a future time and that the craft was manmade by our successors in the future.

This would imply time travel but according to a number of websites on the Internet (eg http://nostradamus.time-loops.net/UFO.htm) it may be possible for future space travellers to travel back in time using science and technology which are currently unkown today.

Group Captain (name removed) RAF (Rtd)

Thank you to the witness for his wonderful report.

Adak Island, Alaska UFO Hovers (Letter, Envelope, Audio Interview)

Posted: March 30, 2008

Location Information: Adak is an island midway along the Aleutian Island chain southwest of mainland Alaska at 177 degrees west. At 52 degrees north it is not exactly arctic, nor is it temperate; but it is nearly always buffeted by cold, wet winds. Most of the wind is generated by an endless series of cyclonic storms. The weather report for aviators almost never varies: Winds 25-40 gusting to 60, mostly cloudy with layers at 800 feet, 1200 feet, 2000 feet. Visibility 7 miles, rain. Temp 40 degrees F (plus or minus 5 degrees for most of the year). It is bounded on the east and the west by volcanoes. To the west is Kanaga Volcano, a beautiful perfect cone, and to the east by Great Sitkin, which nearly always is at least smoking and erupted in the early 1970's.

View map of Adak Island: *View map of Adak Island*

Brian Vike Director of *HBCC UFO Research* had a nice telephone conversation with an ex-serviceman by the name of Art. Art was stationed on Adak Island Aleutian Islands and was part of the crash crew for the fire department. One late night in January 1976 at the airport, the control tower personnel rang the crash crew and told the members that an aircraft was going to be landing. The crash crew members jumped up and peered out the window and did not see an airplane of any kind, but rather a glowing object approximately 50 feet across. (Art told me it was the brightest light that he has ever seen in his life)

Art said it was really eerie to watch, and the humming that came from the UFO, seemed to resonate throughout all of the crash teams bodies. One has to remember that the crash team was still inside their building when they could feel the humming, but they eventually did move outside and stood approximately 100 feet away from this huge and extremely bright UFO which was hovering just over the tarmac pretty much in front of the control tower and of course all the men watching.

As everyone stood looking at this unidentified object, more bright lights about the size of a Volkswagen came from out of the hovering UFO and flew at an incredible fast rate of speed up to a communication station which was located on a nearby hill and sat stationary on it. Another light went down and hovered over the bunkers. After a period of time the lights that were zipping around did come back to the main object and merged into it. All of a sudden the large UFO took off at such a high rate of speed it left all of the personnel watching it dumfounded. As Art mentioned, we have nothing here on earth that could move as quickly as this thing did and I would certainly be in agreement with Art on this.

The control tower called the crash crew and asked, "what the hell was that"! The crew replied back, it was a UFO! Art remembers one of the personnel in the control tower cursing, as this was something one does not see every day, and he also mentioned that the object was as bright as the sun and lit up the entire area as if it was daylight.

Art said, they were really frightened, they were young men at the time, Art being 19 years old. The thirteen men stood looking at one another saying, "what the heck was that"?

Soon afterwards, or after the event was over which left a lot of men scratching their heads, the officer of the day showed up and confronted the men and told them what they all saw was "Ball Lightning". Art's response to the officer of the day was, if that was ball lightning, then it had to be the largest display of lightning on record. Art also said he would be more than willing to sit down and take a lie detector test to provide what he is relating is the truth.

He also mentioned that there were people taking pictures of the object. He could not remember who these people were, but when the pictures came back, Art remembers everyone looking at them and seeing nothing but a bright, camera flash type light in each of the photos. One just wasn't able to see anything other than this brilliant white light.

Art also figures the object sat stationary just feet about the tarmac for 10 to 15 minutes. This object wasn't flying by, it was sitting still for a long period of time in front of all these men. Also he said that the UFO incident was placed into the crash crews logbook and also in the control tower's logbook as well.

Art sat down on another day following the sighting and wrote a letter to his family back home. This was a personal letter, asking how things were, etc, then Art added that he saw a UFO. He described just a little about what he saw.

You can view the letter by clicking on the following link. I also should add that HBCC UFO Research has not removed any of the names or information. I asked Art if I should remove names and he told me to leave the letter as is. The family members who are mentioned in this letter have passed away. I have also added a link to the envelope the letter came in. After the family members passed on a lot of their possessions were given back to family and this is how Art came into possession again of his letter.

Also you can view the envelope Art's letter came in which has the postal dated stamp on it: *Art's Envelope He Sent The Letter In To His Family*

The letter and the envelope are copyrighted 2008 to Art.

You also can listen to the telephone interview I did with Art over the UFO sighting at Adak Island, Aleutian Islands Alaska. The interview is 23:31 minutes in length. More can be heard by listening to the audio portion of this report.

Telephone Interview:

The audio interview is copyrighted 2008 to HBCC UFO Research.

On a side note, separate from the sighting Art and the other men had. Art told me about another time when a Coast Guard ship docked at Adak Island where he was stationed, and he and others were handling the tying up of the Coast Guard ship. After the ship was docked and the Coast Guard crew were coming off the ship, one of the sailors stopped and talked to Art and the other men, saying you would not believe what just happened as the Coast Guard ship was coming into port. A UFO came straight up and out of the water in front of the ship and kept traveling straight up. The sailor said the craft was anywhere from 50 to 100 feet in width. The ship immediately scrambled and went into general quarters. The sailor said he was as white as a sheet, from the sounds of things, the entire crew was pretty freaked out over the incident. Also I should add, this UFO incident happened prior to what Art and the others folks witnessed.

Thank you to Art for a fascinating report, the letter, envelope and telephone conversation.

Loring Air Force Base UFO Incident

Brian Vike's Note: Thank you to the serviceman who sent this information into me, I would really like to hear from any other serviceman or woman who served at the Loring, AFB who had witnessed the objects over the base, or who may have knowledge of these sightings.

I do have a number of reports from serviceman on the UFO incidents from Loring. You welcome to email Brian Vike at: b_vike@telus.net or sighting@telus.net.

Any names that are provided in the report below have been changed to protect the privacy of the individuals.

Brian, I just came across the information concerning the Loring incident. In October of 1975 I was working at Loring in the WSA. I know of nothing first hand - if you are still interested I would be glad to pass on what I can remember that was second hand.

Additional Information:

Brian, that was a very long time ago and my memory of what happened is far from clear. I was an NCO assigned to SRAM maintenance in the Integrated Maintenance Facility in the Weapons Storage Area.

I lived in Base House at Presque Isle (this was actually a former Air Force Facility that they had retained the housing).

There were three of us (from Presque Isle) that car pooled together, one named (Ben) who worked in the same building as I and the other (whose name I can't recall) worked in a building adjacent to the weapon storage area.

I believe it was some sort of logistic function. The weapons storage area was very remote from the rest of the base and the logistic group was the only other group near the weapons storage area.

As I recall the actual weapon storage area we used was a small section of a much larger storage area.

The part we didn't use was abandoned and we were sectioned off by a separate fence. There were also a few abandoned buildings within the weapon storage area that were also abandoned and separately fenced off.

One in particular comes to mind that was completely sealed, no windows and the door welded shut. I believe their were numerous other abandoned buildings near the older abandoned part of the weapons storage area.

At any rate as I recall the incidents (the visits from the UFO) occurred over a few nights. I believe I became aware of these from our car pooler who worked in logistics. He seemed to be aware of more of what was going on.

I don't believe he was assigned to the 42nd munitions maintenance as we normally had limited contact with the rest of the base although most of the personnel lived on base.

On the morning of the last/most significant visit I probably was with the early group at the guard gate that walked up to our facility, possibly I may have been the one who stated that their must of been another UFO.

I believe the car pooler from the logistics' group may have told us about the earlier events and at some point indicated that it was a helicopter (of course he had not seen it and was only telling us what he had been told).

I can recall the discussions about the security police asking to shoot at it and being told not to despite the UFO about sitting on one of the weapons storage structures (Igloo).

I also recall the commanding officer (I don't recall if it was the base commander or munitions squadron commander) coming to the weapons storage area while the UFO was there or just after. I believe the security police may have told me that.

I don't recall being called up to the squadron headquarters and being told that anything, but I probably just don't remember that. I think the car pooler from the logistics group had told us that they had obtained/ordered some type of flares that they were going to use to deter the helicopter if it came back.

I don't recall anything about Air Force helicopters being brought in, but I may not have been aware of that or just don't remember.

I thought a group of fighter aircraft were assigned to the base following this last incident and were there because of the incident, presumably to react in the even of another visit. But of course that a long time ago and my memory could be flawed.

I hope this is of some use. If you have questions please feel free to ask me.

Thank you very much to the person who sent in the important information.

If anyone has witnessed the object, please send me an email with details of what you saw. Please remember to include the date and time and location. (Town/City – State or Province) and as much detail as possible.

Adak Island, Aleutian Islands Alaska UFO Hovers 100 Feet Away From Military Personal

Posted: March 27, 2007

HBCC UFO Research is requesting any information, or any other military personal who were stationed Adak Island who were witness to this amazing UFO event in January of 1976 would you please contact Brian Vike - Director of HBCC UFO Research with any details you can provide. You can reach me at: hbccufo@telus.net I do respect everyone's privacy.

I ex-serviceman contacted me by email on Wednesday, March 19, 2008 and told me an fascinating story in which he was stationed on Adak, Island in May of 1975 until April 1976. The gentleman saw a UFO in January 1976. The man still has a personal letter he sent to his Aunt in 1976 with descriptions of the craft. He was on the fire department for 2 months, then he went to the crash crew. The fellow told me his still has many fond memories from being stationed there. Fishing drinking, hiking and skiing.

HBCC UFO Research replied to the fellow and asked if I might be able to telephone him and gather more information on what he saw. Also asking about posting the personal letter he wrote to his family, etc. I received an email back with the man's telephone number and I did call. Well what a wonderful conversation I had with him. A very nice fellow who filled me in on what he and 13 other military serviceman saw hovering just feet above the tarmac in front of the flight tower. I should add that there were other folks in the area who may have witnessed this craft. The incident was written up in the tower's log book, and some of the serviceman were taking photos of this UFO as it sat stationary. The object was huge in size and other smaller UFOs came of the larger one and moved about and then joining up again with the main craft. I was told the photos that were taken showed a brilliant light sitting over the runway. Also strobing colored lights could be seen coming from inside the main object.

I am going to release the "letter" as it was written, I won't be removing any names from it, or removing any information as permission was given for me to leave the letter intact. Also I will be releasing an 22 or so minute telephone interview where you can hear the witness describing the craft. I am just waiting to receive a scanned copy of the original envelope the letter came in.

Thank you to the gentleman for taking the time with me and sharing such a wonderful story.

Some Of The Things We Saw Were Literally Out Of This World

Posted: March 5, 2008

HBCC UFO Research received another fasinating look back in history, a letter from a gentleman who was kind enough to take the time and write up and submit the report. For me personally, these are "treasures" and a look back in time. Without these wonderful people who come forward with valuable information, we as UFOligists can't bring these truly wonderful story's to the general public. I really do encourage folks who were maybe stationed at the different military bases around the United States, here in Canada or bases around the world to write to me with this important information. Please always note, that I respect everyone's personal information and do not give it out to anyone. Brian Vike - Director of HBCC UFO Research hbccufo@telus.net

Also I would like to point out that permission was granted to leave the report intact as it was sent, the only thing HBCC UFO Research did, was to remove a couple of the last names for two individuals in this report.

I am retired military, U.S.Navy. My first duty station after apprentice training was at Naval Station, Adak Island, Alaska. I was assigned to the fire department as a fireman. I was not to keen on the idea of riding on the back step of a fire truck or fighting fires, so being a reasonably intelligent person and one of the few in the department that completed high school and could read and write, I got the job of department dispatcher. It was a nice desk job, I worked 7-4, 5 days a week and when all the other guys were out training I hung out in the dispatch office with one of the civilian fire chiefs.
There was 5 of them, 4 at the fire station and one was assigned as the crash crew chief at the airfield.

What was so unusual about these fellows was they were in their 50's and all near the end of their careers, and prior to coming out to the island, they had worked at the fire/crash department at Edwards/Muroc Air Force Base!

This was in the early 70's so most of their early career (late 40's,50's and 60's ) was at Edwards/Muroc during the period when all the experimental testing was going on there. I became really close with the fire chief Ed and an assistant chief Ron.

They knew all the Mercury astronauts plus anybody else that went through there. They recovered Edwards body the guy the base was named after. Yeager, Armstrong they knew them all.

In the book/movie "The Right Stuff", there is a scene where Yeager bails out of the plane when he lost control and he comes walking out of the desert carrying his chute. A pick up truck comes driving up to retrieve him. Well, in real life they were those guys and they seriously thought they were looking for a body!

It was many years after they told me that story, that I saw it re-enacted on the big screen and realized that I had heard this story before. I'm like an idiot standing up in the theater pointing at the screen saying, "Hey I know those guys!"

Well of course in the many hours of them telling me story's of their adventures at Edwards on the crash crew, watching Buzz Aldrin learn to control the prototype of the Lunar Lander and seeing the various other experimental planes, I remember once asking Ed and Ron if they had ever witnessed anything "weird". Ron looked at Ed and after a moment he quietly said, "some of the things we saw, were literally out of this world."

I didn't think much about it at the time and even later on thought they were talking of the SR-71 which landed once at Adak while I was there, or the U-2, you know exotic conventional planes. But, since reading about Cooper's encounter at Edwards with the saucer landing there and the possible visit of "Ike" at Edwards with "ET visitors" and some of the other statements coming out from people who also were at Edwards when there were encounters with "craft". I now know what they were talking about. And I believe them to be true.

I am very grateful to the gentleman for relating the information.

Naval Air Station Oceana, Virginia Beach, Virginia A Round Sphere Above The Trees

Posted: March 5, 2008

Sir, I was just surfing the net and saw this piece of news. I was stationed in NAS Oceana from 2002 to 2005. I can't remember the month now that I saw this round sphere just above the trees. But what occurred was, I went to the back side of the hangar of VFA-37 where I was attached at the time. I was talking to one of my squadron mates. I know that late afternoon there were no flights and everything was quite in the surrounding area. As I look up on the direction of the sky. There just above the trees, a round sphere object appeared out of the cloudless sky as if its force field or invisible shield was suddenly off.

Because me and this guy was talking out there for awhile. When I saw it, I looked and told my squadron mate, Hey! Did you see that. And for sure when he looked up it was gone. And I told him what a just saw, but I guess he never believe me. And when I told people of my experience, they thought it was a joke or something. You know, fighter jets all around, radars, etc. and yet right there, on base. On a patch of trees in-between the flight line, a round sphere just above the tree. If they asked me where I saw it I'll tell them exactly. There might still be residues emitted by the object after two and half years since my retirement. If know one believes me, I don't care, because I saw what I saw. And I hardly believe things until I see it myself. Unexpectedly.

Thank you to the witness for a good report.

UFOs At Cannon AFB And Sheppard AFB Military Personal Observe Objects

Posted: February 26, 2008

Hi Brian, I was based at Cannon AFB, New Mexico in 1975/76 when there were a rash of UFO sightings at the base. I can only describe one, and I believe it was a weather balloon. (You may be more interested in my second story). It was a summer afternoon on a weekend. There had been a lot of talk about UFO's around the base. Someone came running into our barracks shouting there was a UFO in the sky directly over the base. As you can expect, everyone ran outside to see. I remember running outside and noticing several hundred soldiers around my barracks and the other barracks in my area looking up at it. It was extremely high and appeared to be silver. It seemed to slowly change shape and after watching it for several minutes you could tell it was moving slowly west to east. Some of the senior soldiers said it was a weather balloon but there was a large group that insisted it was a UFO. I watched it for about 15 minutes and it never did anything unusual that a UFO might do. I believe it was a balloon.

But, I did see a UFO around January, 1975, actually two of them, at Sheppard AFB in Wichita Falls, TX. I was with two other soldiers and it was about 1:00 in the morning. (No, we were not drunk and not on anything). We were returning to the base in a pick-up truck. The sky was completely overcast with a ceiling around 3,000 to 4,000 feet. While driving east, we noticed two white lights about 2,000 feet AGL (above ground level) a couple of miles ahead of us traveling east north east. Both were making a gradual left turn in front of us. Each light was about as bright as a car headlight. The first light was flying along at about 200 knots leading the second light by a 1/4 mile or so when we first saw them.

The trailing light was traveling approximately twice as fast as the first light. They were in level flight. No strobes or beacons, just two white lights. We were watching the planes, which is what we thought they were, and talking about them. As the trailing light caught up to the first, everything happened almost instantly. They were no longer two lights, just one about the same brightness as before the other one had joined it. As soon as the second light caught up to the first, the light shot straight up threw the clouds at mach ? I'm just guessing at the speed because I have no experience with flying things that can turn and accelerate this fast. I've seen tracer bullets fired from powerful military weapons, and this thing went from level flight to faster than a tracer bullet, straight up. I have no doubt it was a UFO. Whatever that means.

(Name removed) USAF Veteran 1974-1979

Thank you to the witness for the excellent report.

9. - Air Medal w/5*

10. - Navy Commendation w/combat "v"

11. - RVN Cross of Gallantry w/palm

United States President Jimmy Carter's letter.

HBCC UFO Research Note: Lt. Col. Roy Jack Edward's son told me he fought tooth and nail one would say to have his father buried with military honors. He contacted so many ranking officers and politicians throughout the military/government in hopes of having his wishes carried out, which over time they finally were granted and his Dad was put to rest with military honors.

One had to wonder why this wasn't carried out straight away, with no hassles for the family who fought to have these rights in place for their Father who served with courage and honor on and off the battlefield. Was it due to a UFO experience which almost ruined Lt. Col. Roy Jack Edwards career.

In the military records I have here for Lt. Col. Roy Jack Edwards, it states in bold capital letters that Lt. Col. Roy Jack Edwards served his country "Honorable" But what there is no mention of in these military records is an amazing UFO encounter Lt. Col. Roy Jack Edwards had back in 1955 while holding a position of a test pilot at Edwards AFB. I also will add, Lt. Col. Roy Jack Edwards almost lost his life during his encounter with the UFO, loss of vision, everything went fuzzy, so his body reacted to whatever the Unidentified Flying Object was giving off and also losing control of the jet aircraft for a while as it suddenly had mechanical problems, again due to the UFO he came face to face while in flight.

Now here is what I and Lt. Col. Roy Jack Edward's son find really unusual and or the cover up starts, the powers to be whom ever these people are, having Lt. Col. Roy Jack Edwards stationed in Gifu, Japan at the time of his UFO encounter. This is listed on Lt. Col. Roy Jack Edward's military records, according to his son who I spoke at length with on Friday 25, 2008 by way of telephone, Jack Edward's son says his Father was not stationed at Gifu, Japan, but rather at the Edwards AFB where he was test flying the Super Sabre jet fighters at the time of the UFO incident. His son can remember this so clearly, plus as his son mentioned, we would have known if we were in Japan. (different country) They weren't ! So this appears to be a complete cover-up by the military to hide any possible leakage of Lt. Col. Roy Jack Edward's UFO sighting.

The report on Lt. Col. Roy Jack Edwards UFO Experience.

Full Description of event/sighting: Subject: My father, a Super Sabre test pilot at Edwards AFB chased an Orange Cigar shaped UFO.

In 1955 my deceased (3 years ago) father Lt. Col. Roy Jack Edwards USMC (Ret. USNA Class of '47 - same as Pres. Jimmy Carter) revealed an experience he had as a young test pilot to me just 2 years before he died. He claimed the reason he never shared his UFO chase encounter was the deep fear the military had threatened him, during debriefing upon returning to base, for disobeying direct orders he would lose all his military benefits along with a less than honorable discharge.

Let me explain the whole set of circumstances involving his chasing the stationary "Orange Cigar" shaped UFO at an altitude of approx. 6K'. He was stationed at Edwards AFB for a 2 year stint to conduct final testing of the new version Super Sabre fighters and other experimentals. At this time I was only 6 years old.

During a test flight in clear sky conditions when my father initially contacted ground control he sighted a definite large UFO. He was firmly "ordered" to "break away immediately and return to base" with his chase (observation) plane. His observation plane complied. However, my fearless USMC trained mindset father told me that his raw intrepid instincts kicked in, thus, ignored ground control because he knew he probably wouldn't ever get another opportunity to confront a UFO and pursued.

So, he made a linear flight towards this stationary positioned cigar shaped orange glowing object and described w/o any surface area indicative as having any source of propulsion which he estimated to be about 2 football fields in length and slightly more than 50 yards in circumference. As he reached a range of about 3-4 miles from the UFO it emitted a single burst of blue light rendering my father to instantly lose his ability to see and disabled his plane's communications equipment. Striped of his sense of vision and communication to ground control he was in a very precarious position to say the least. But he managed to bank his craft to a soft right direction and kept his altitude from dropping by keeping his stick from going forward. He said he considered bailing out but wanted to ride out some time (knowing he had enough fuel) in hope the shock of what ever incurred to him and his plane would be temporary.

To his recall, his sight returned in slow blurry stages until he regained full sight acuity in a time frame of about 10-15 minutes. Now capable to see his instruments, horizon and most important recognizing familiar terrain landmarks he tracked his return to Edwards' airfield still w/o communications. Although my dad was relieved to have survived this unique dangerous experience during his stern debriefing by his CO for disobeying direct orders, he learned 2 unpleasant things. The reason he was ordered to return to base ASAP, he was informed by his CO that the same UFO had caused the deaths of 3 prior test pilots. Back in those days the subject of UFO sightings or encounters were a silent taboo especially among test pilots for fear of losing their hard earned test pilot flight status. If my father had known of this critical information prior to his UFO encounter, he claimed he wouldn't have pursued the UFO and would've obeyed ground control orders.

As a reprimand for disobeying direct orders he permanently lost his status as a test pilot and reassigned to a USNA weapons department teaching position at Annapolis, Md. Additionally, he wasn't allowed to ever fly turbines (jets) in the future. Eventually, after a few years at the pentagon in Wash. D.C. he petitioned and was permitted to fly choppers (CH 46).

PS - I have my father's Military DD214 Discharge records as verification reference. (HBCC UFO Research is in possession of the documents as they were faxed to me on Friday, January 25, 2008).

HBCC UFO Research Note: A Military cover-up, which seems to be nothing new from all the servicemen I have spoken with. From being threatened with loss of pensions, their lives, you name it. These are the stories military personal relate to me. The story above which was related to me by the son of Lt. Col. Roy Jack Edwards is another indication what the military/government will go to, to suppress any information about a UFO sightings brought out into the public domain.

It may be folks like Lt. Col. Roy Jack Edwards and his son, and others who are, or who have served in the military who have knowledge of UFO events and can come forward to relate their experiences. There has to be thousands of men and women who have served, or serving in the military who have been told to keep silent over what they saw or else. We will not know about these unusual events unless folks come forward.

Loring AFB UFO Incident - Ex-Military Serviceman Speaks

Brian Vike's Note: I would like to extend my many thanks to the person who sent in this report. Also, if other ex-servicemen or women, even family members of the service people have any knowledge about this event.

I would be grateful for as much detail as you could possibly could provide to me here at The Vike Factor. Please do know that I respect everyone's personal/private information.

Message: Loring AFBUFO Incident -- Many years ago while listening to the Jeff Rense talk show, the discussion about UFOs turned toward the Loring incident which I had knowledge of, and I emailed Rense during the program.

I did not see this object, but was directly involved with the aftermath. What I did not mention on the Rense e-mail was that there was a previous UFO sighting during October of 1974, almost a year exactly to the 1975 incident, though the 1974 sighting by some base personnel did not reach the public.

Now as to the 1975 incident I worked at the WSA where some of the activity took place. At most there were about 60 airmen that worked in the secluded and secure area, and the area itself was guarded by about 8 security police (SPs) around the clock.

One morning, myself and 5 others arrived at the gate to the WSA before the rest and I noted something was wrong because all the SPs were waiting for us on the other side of the gate.

Usually some were in the guard shack and others were driving around the WSA, upon exchanging our badges, the SP's became notably shaken and somewhat frantic and began telling us of the UFO that hovered over our structures ( Igloo's with weapons inside).

The SP who spoke directly to me said this object was of the two pie pan type, glowed an orange color and shone a green beam in a searching type of manner over and around our structures.

He also said they radioed their headquarters back on main base and requested permission to fire their M-16's upon a UFO that was hovering over the structures.

This SP's began telling of other events about the object. I stopped him and asked what the headquarters said, he replied that they didn't get an rapid reply, or something to that affect and kept asking for permission to fire upon it.

Later he received an order not to fire upon the object unless it performed acts of destruction or damage to anything in the secure area. So he said we had nothing to do but watch this thing. I think I asked him about the guard dogs reaction and he said the dog was going crazy over the ordeal like the rest of them.

During this conversation many other airmen had arrived after us and were also listening to the various accounts from the separate SP's. There were about 20 of us airmen gathered around the guard shack, and we began walking up to our own building.

I remember all was quiet until about 3/4 the way up when one of our senior Sergeants said, "they must have seen a UFO last night". I don't know why I remembered that, just a dawning of something that really occurred I suppose.

Here's where I get involved sort of. After all the personnel arrived at the WSA that morning, we are all ordered back to main base.

This never happened before or afterwards during the year I was there, you have to realize that the WSA was far from the base and to drive all the way out there, and then be ordered back to the base was an unusual occurrence, and all the WSA personnel gathered in a room at our MMS headquarters.

It was very quiet in this room and everyone seemed to more or less be talking softly among themselves, myself and my best friend were sitting in the back of the room ( I was 17 ) and we briefly said to each other or commented to the affect that we thought we were going to war with these aliens, and that someone was to meet with us and tell us what was going on and why we were assembled here.

However, truth is stranger then fiction, and after about 10 minutes our squadron commander came out and stood in front of us, and used an angry tone of voice. I had never heard from him before and said the following, "you have not heard anything, you have not seen anything and you will not ever say anything.

That is a direct order"! Then he dropped the tone of his voice to a much more casual level, and said something about a helicopter had been seen in the area and was being investigated, geesh. We were ordered back to main base just for this ? You do the math!

I've seen deception first hand and I didn't even see the UFO. The odd thing was I probably would have wrote the whole thing off and forgot about it but when we were ordered back to main base, then ordered not to say anything, it reinforced the notion that it was real.

There's a yahoo news group called Loring AFB which has some stuff about the incident there and perhaps some first hand accounts, this is not a UFO related group but perhaps you might find someone to help you with further info. Good luck.

Thank you very much to the gentleman for taking the time to write and give what he knew about this event.

If anyone has witnessed the object, please send me an email with details of what you saw. Please remember to include the date and time and location. (Town/City – State or Province) and as much detail as possible.
